This is the ideal flow in CutPro, from start to finish. If it’s your first time, follow the steps in order. Each step takes a few seconds, and the AI does the heavy lifting for you.
The fastest path: paste the link → choose a ready-made strategy → use the suggested segment → click Generate clips. Done. You can customize everything later, but you don’t need to in order to get a good result on your first try.

The flow at a glance

1

Paste the link or upload the file

Open the Clipper and paste the link into the “Paste your livestream or video link here…” field, then click Generate clips now.Prefer to upload a file from your computer? Use the Upload file button.
Works with YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Kick, Vimeo, Google Drive, and much more. The video must be at least 1 minute long.
See all the sources in Where can I get videos from?.
2

Wait for the analysis

The screen shows “Analyzing video…” while the AI fetches the video’s information (duration, platform, audio language). It takes a few seconds.
3

Choose the strategy

The strategy tells the AI what to look for in your clips: the tone, the focus, and the duration of each cut.
  • Just starting out? Pick one of the ready-made strategies. They have already been tested for engagement and are the fastest way to get a good result.
  • Want full control? Choose Custom and fill in:
    • What to look for in the cuts — e.g. “focus on funny moments and reactions, avoid segments about politics”
    • Hook and title style — e.g. “subtle tone, prefer questions over statements, 6 words max”
    • Duration — leave it on Auto (the AI decides, up to 90s) or set min/max yourself
Each clip’s duration can range from 10s to 90s in the presets. Short ones (up to 30s) work best on TikTok; medium ones (30–60s) on Instagram; long ones (60–90s) on YouTube.

4

Select the video segment

Under Video segment, use the slider to choose only the part that matters. The AI only analyzes what you select, and you only pay for that.
1 credit = 1 minute processed. Don’t select the entire video if the good part is just a piece of it. Skip intros and filler to save credits.
Example: a 3-hour livestream → you select 1 hour → you pay 60 credits. Details in Duration limits.
5

Choose a template (optional)

The template is the look applied to the clips: automatic captions, colors, layout, and your brand’s elements. All clips come out with the same style, with no manual work.Leave it on No template if you just want the raw cuts to edit later, or choose a ready-made template to get captions and visual identity right away.
6

Generate clips

Check the credit cost in the footer and click Generate clips. The screen then shows “Processing your video”.
You can leave the screen, we’ll let you know when it’s ready. It usually takes a few minutes.
7

View and choose your clips

When it’s done, the clips appear in a grid, ordered by potential (the score from 0 to 10 the AI gives each one). Start with the highest-scoring ones. For each clip you can download, share, duplicate, edit, or publish straight to social media. You can select several and download or export them in bulk.
