Canceling or pausing your subscription

Canceling doesn't cut your access off right away: you keep the plan until the end of the period you already paid for. And there's an option to pause before canceling for good.

Updated July 26, 2026

Cancellation lives in the subscription area of the studio.

What happens when you cancel

You don't lose access right away. The subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for — the screen shows the exact date. Only after that does the account go back to the free plan.

The reasoning is simple: you already paid for that period, so it's yours.

What doesn't happen: your account isn't deleted, your clips don't disappear and your history stays. What changes, once you're on Free, are the plan's limits.

About credits: the ones already in your balance aren't wiped by the cancellation. They stay valid until each batch's expiry date — see how credits work.

Changed your mind before it ends?

If you resubscribe before the period is over, the remaining days aren't lost — the new subscription starts counting from the end of the current period.

Pausing instead of canceling

There's an option to pause for 30 days instead of canceling outright: the next charge is pushed forward and you pick things back up later.

It isn't a standalone button in the dashboard — it appears inside the cancellation flow, when the reason you give is along the lines of "it's expensive", "I'm not using it enough" or "other". If it shows up for you, it's a better option than canceling and resubscribing later.

Two details: no new credits arrive during the pause, and the offer is good once per cycle.

Depending on how you pay and the reason you give, CutPro may offer other ways out instead of the pause — a smaller plan or a credit bonus. If your case is a technical or quality problem, it points you to support, because there the right answer is to fix the problem, not to hand you a discount.

If you subscribed on your phone

A subscription taken out through the App Store or Google Play is billed by the store, and CutPro can't cancel it for you. The route is:

  • iPhone: Settings → your name (Apple ID) → Subscriptions.
  • Android: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions.

CutPro's screen tells you when this is your case. Once you cancel at the store, the change reaches us on its own.

Refunds

Canceling does not automatically refund the remaining days — the model is precisely the opposite: you keep access for the time you paid for.

Refund requests are reviewed case by case by support. Since it involves your account data, use support on WhatsApp. More context in payment problems.
